Connect Microsoft SharePoint so agents can find and read your organization’s documents (runbooks, policies, architecture write-ups, post-mortems) while they investigate. Clarion searches SharePoint sites and, if you allow it, OneDrive for Business. It is read-only: Clarion never creates, edits or shares files.
Estimated time: 5 minutes. You will need a Global Administrator or Privileged Role Administrator in the Microsoft tenant to grant consent, and a Clarion workspace admin to connect.

Prerequisites

  • A Microsoft 365 tenant with SharePoint Online
  • Ability to grant admin consent for application permissions in Microsoft Entra ID

Connect

  1. In Clarion, open Integrations and find Microsoft SharePoint.
  2. Click Connect with Microsoft and sign in as a Microsoft administrator.
  3. Review and accept the requested permission:
  4. Return to Clarion. The integration shows as connected.
Sites.Read.All lets Clarion read the whole tenant. Use Agent access to narrow what agents can see.

Choose what agents can read

Once connected, the Agent access section on the integration page controls what agents can read. Clarion applies these settings to every search and every document read, whatever the agent asks for. Click Save to apply changes. They take effect on the next tool call.
When OneDrive is included, Microsoft builds a search index for unshared files on the first search. In a large tenant this can take days, and until it finishes, searches only return files that have been shared.

What agents can do

Clarion removes secrets such as API keys and tokens from document text before an agent sees it. Documents over 10 MB, and images, can’t be read as text.

Disconnect

Click Disconnect on the integration page. This removes the workspace’s Clarion binding. It does not revoke the Clarion application in your Microsoft tenant. To remove the consent too, do it from Microsoft Entra ID.
